' ' - Anything the the menu system does not understand will be ignored,
' but ' denotes a clear comment.
' The format is simple: The heading for a help section is just exactly
' the title defined in PULLDWN.DEF, behind the % identifiers. Up to 50
' lines of help may be defined. PullDown expects to find the .HLP file
' (and the .CNF file) in the subdirectory PULLDWNx.EXE starts from.
' Use a ### on the LAST line of help to end the screen. Otherwise you
' will see extra lines of junk in your help box.

Quattro/Pro
Quattro/Pro is the new spreadsheet from Borland International. It
is a serious competitor to 1-2-3 and contains a menu tree to make
it keystroke compatible with 1-2-3. Finanicial Analysts, who use
spreadsheets for a living, are starting to adopt Quattro as the
new standard. As you can see, the HELP SUBSYSTEM available with
PullDown v1.0 is indeed powerful and flexible. Up to 50 lines of
help can be maintained for each and every selection within the
system.
###
Lotus 1-2-3 v2.20
Start the ex-leading spreadsheet.
###
Lotus 1-2-3 v3.0
True three-D spreadsheet. Required: 286 (better a 386), 4 MB
RAM to be truly useful, and EMS 4.0 EEMS. (QEMM/386 will work
also.)
###
Lotus Magellan
Lotus Development's excellent shell for finding anything and
starting an application for you. Gathering different info.
from separate, but related, files is the best thing since
sliced bread. As you can see, you can literally customize
every single aspect of help available to users. Consultants
select this system as a turnkey to permit a professional
interface with dialog box help in a matter of minutes.
###
MS Word 4.0
Word processor.
###
Harvard Graphics

###

###
Edit PULLDWN.DEF
Editing PULLDWN.DEF changes the appearance of PullDown menus.
You need to edit the PULLDWN.DEF file to make this option
work. The example is clear. Start your text editor (NOT
your word processor!) and make the needed change to the
path and editor name within the definition file.
###
Edit PULLDWN.HLP
The .HLP file follows closely with the .DEF file. It is
best to create the .DEF file you want, edit out all but the
% titles and then create your help screens. Help is simply
text typed below the name used to call the menu, ended with
a simple sequence of '###'. It is one of the finest features
of the system, and is available to all users, registered or
not.
